The Friends of Stittsville Wetlands are a volunteer, community-based, not-for-profit corporation committed to protecting, restoring, regenerating, and rewilding our wetlands for future generations.
We are growing and we need your help!
Join the movement to protect, restore, regenerate and rewild Stittsville’s Wetlands for future generations by becoming a supporter of the Friends of Stittsville Wetlands. Step up and lean into this unique legacy project.
Your support will help the Friends of Stittsville Wetlands build its capacity to protect the Goulbourn Wetland Complex, a provincially significant wetland, that is on the doorstep of Stittsville and threatened by continuing development pressures as well as policy changes by the Province of Ontario in late 2022.
As a Friend your support will help cover our annual operating costs, including but not limited to General Liability Insurance and Directors and Officers Liability Insurance, legal services, website hosting, Ontario Nature Membership dues as well as financial services fees. The Friends of Stittsville Wetlands are also exploring other granting opportunities to cover expenses associated with community-specific projects to increase public awareness and build community action such as signage.
Together, we will be the voice to protect, restore, regenerate, and rewild our wetlands.
Becoming a Friend is on an Individual or Family basis and runs on the calendar year.
Individual – Two terms are available:
1 year – $40 or 2 years – $75
Family – Two terms are available:
1 year – $70 or 2 years – $130
There are two ways to sign up or renew your Friend status:

2) Mail
Download and complete our Friends Application Form (PDF) and mail it to the address on the form. Include your cheque for the term of Friends. Please make your cheque payable to: Friends of Stittsville Wetlands.
